Your Body Reads Exercise as Stress
We talk with our clients a ton about stress. Good stress and bad stress. Stress from work, relationships, and your environment.
Most people forget that even if something is good for them (like exercise) that it can be a stress on your body. It is difficult for your body to differentiate between stress from your workouts and stress from expectations and deadlines as your job.
While movement is great, and something you should do often, just remember that the workouts you are doing, your body reads as stress. This is why it is so important to take rest days and to pull back if you body is already stressed from other things.
Consistently checking in with your body and listening to how you feel is so important. Be sure to notice if the things you are doing in the gym or hurting you or helping you.
