We are happy to introduce you to our latest featured athlete, Corey Crawford. A quick wit, easy to talk with, Corey is well known and enjoyed by his fellow athletes as a great guy to have around. One of his fellow athletes said “I always have fun working out with Corey. He put his all into every WOD and always challenge himself to push himself beyond his limits.” With an ever present laugh and smile, encouragement to his fellow athletes, you learn quickly that he’s a firm believer in working hard and being consistent as his progress has shown in so many ways.
Q: How long have you been a member and how long have you been doing CrossFit?
A: since July of 2017 for both questions
Q: What is your favorite thing about the gym?A: everybody that I get to interact with the community is great
Q: What is the biggest challenge you have overcome since joining the gym?A: I had serious shoulder mobility issues when I started but coach Zach and Amanda both showed me a lot off mobility exercises to do. The shoulders r still a work in progress but much better
Q: What is your favorite moment at the gym so far?
A: I would have to say it was the last in house competition. It was my 1st crossfit competition and I was teamed up with Jimmy Himes(also his 1st comp.) And just had a blast competing with everyone.
Q: What is your favorite Pump up song for the gym?A: don’t really have one
A: don’t really have just one cheat food I like to eat cheeseburgers and pizza and pretty much any cookies and pie
Q: What’s your favorite “cheat” food?
Q: What’s your Favorite activity outside the gym?A: eating lol other than that I like to go hiking
Q: What would you say to someone who is thinking about starting?
A: do it you won’t be disappointed it’s the best decision I myself have ever made towards my own physical health and well being
Q: What drives you?
A: just personally like to exercise and the people I work out with make it really easy to come to class
Q: Which coach do you like to beat in workouts?
A: any of them that I can
Q: What is you biggest fitness goal right now?
A: right now just trying to get better at body weight movements like pullups and handstand pushup o yeah and double unders
