Mark has been a big part of our 6:15am class and is a prime example of respecting the process. He comes in each day with a willingness to work on his weaknesses, improve his strengths, and have a good time doing it along with his fellow classmates. We asked Mark a couple of questions about his experience with CrossFit at CFBT and this is what he had to say….
Q: How long have you been a member and how long have you been doing CrossFit?
A: Joined in June 2017 and that was when I started CrossFit

Q: What is your favorite thing about the gym?

A: The comradery and encouragement from the staff and fellow members. There was the initial apprehension when I joined Boomtown and not knowing the routines/moves. Everyone – coaches and members – were willing to help.

Q: What is the biggest challenge you have overcome since joining the gym?
A: Consistently coming to class over the long haul; a Pull-Up

Q: What is your favorite moment at the gym so far?
A: One Saturday Morning I partnered up with Kesha during a hot summer partner workout that included a run outside – we were both tired but we pushed each other to complete it.

Q: What is your favorite Pump up song for the gym?
A: “Bring Me To Life” – Evanescence

Q: What’s your favorite “treat” food?
A: Cookies

Q: What’s your Favorite activity outside the gym?
A:  Traveling and experiencing new things with Lisa and Gracie.

Q: What would you say to someone who is thinking about starting?
A: Do It! It is such a better & more rewarding experience than a typical big-box gym. At first it might seem intimidating when you think of the CrossFit athletes you might see on TV but BoomTown couldn’t be more the opposite! You quickly realize that everyone is there working together to get healthier no matter where they are starting from. The regular coaching and encouragement from coaches and fellow members is awesome.

Q: What drives you?
A: Family – Lisa & Gracie. I want be around AND ACTIVE for my family for a LONG time. We still have so much to see and experience in our lives. I also want to be a good example for Grace – Commit to something and stick with it no matter how hard.

Q: Which coach do you like to beat in workouts?
A:  Don’t know if it happens anytime soon but Danny will be in my sights

Q: What is you biggest fitness goal right now?
A:  Double Unders
