Q: How long have you been a member and how long have you been doing  CrossFit?
A: I believe a little over five years?  All of my CrossFit time has been at Boomtown.

Q: What is your favorite thing about the gym?
A: The community, I love being a part of each class and the positive atmosphere. Anyone can just go to the gym to exercise but coming to a CrossFit class is something else.

Q: What is the biggest challenge you have overcome since joining the gym?

A: Learning my own limitations.  When I first started I hurt myself because I didn’t know my own limits, now that I do I can push them appropriately and continue to grow.

Q: What is your favorite moment at the gym so far?
A: My favorite moment at the gym, so far, is this past Memorial Day when I completed “Murph” by myself.  That was a huge accomplishment that I wasn’t 100% sure I could do.

Q: What is your favorite Pump up song for the gym?
A: Ya know it varies.  Currently, I think it’s “Devil” by Shinedown

Q: What’s your favorite “cheat” food?
A: Donuts 😀

Q: What’s your Favorite activity outside the gym?
A: Outside of the gym, I’ve found that my newer favorite thing is to travel.

Q: What would you say to someone who is thinking about starting?
A: Welcome!  CrossFit is a fun ride that is going to show you things about yourself you never knew, it’s going to be hard but it’s going to be worth it.  And Boomtown is the best place to start that ride!

Q: What drives you?
A: When I first started, I thought my biggest drive was having an unknown family history, so for medical reasons I wanted to just keep in good shape.  But now, I’m driven by pure desire to be better.  Better than I was yesterday, better than what I think I can be, better than who I used to be.

Q: Which coach do you like to beat in workouts?
A: Zach.  Since I started, I’ve always thought he is so fast and so strong and I would watch him crush workouts. I still think that, but it makes me happy that I’ve been getting closer, and making it a challenge for him.

Q: What is you biggest fitness goal right now?
A: My diet and weight are still my biggest goal. I want to continue to improve the quality of my meals and keeping to my macro-tracking.
