 We, the Bommtown coaching staff, are very excited to award our August Member of the Month to Joelle Hill!  A little over a year ago, Joelle made the decision to invest in herself and make her health and fitness a priority. With consistency and her willingness to put in the work, she transformed not only her body but her mind too. 
 
Q: How long have you been a member and how long have you been doing CrossFit?
A: BoomTown popped my crossfit cherry 18 months ago
Q:What is your favorite thing about the gym?
A: That it is such a diverse group…of coaches and members… but it all is so cohesive and everyone has something positive to contribute.  I freaking love this place. 

 

Q: What is the biggest challenge you have overcome since joining the gym?

A:  Learning my limits and how to pace myself.  I’m still working on that. 

Q: What is your favorite moment at the gym so far?
A: Doing so many pull-ups during my first CrossFit Open this year 

Q: What is your favorite Pump up song for the gym?
A: Pretty much any Notorious BIG.. or DMX… or Drake…or Lil Wayne… or anything that isn’t Country. 

Q: What’s your favorite “cheat” food?
A: Carbones Pizza…. Yummmmmm

Q: What’s your Favorite activity outside the gym?
A: Teaching at the dance studio and anything outdoors with my family. 

Q: What would you say to someone who is thinking about starting?
A: Just do it!  CrossFit is for everyone!

Q: What drives you?
A: I want to be a good role model, not only for my own children but all the children I teach. 

Q: Which coach do you like to beat in workouts?
A: Haha, I don’t beat coaches. But I like working out with Zach because sometime I feel like he is dying as much as I am.  It’s nice to know this shit is just as hard for you guys. 

Q: What is you biggest fitness goal right now?
A: By the end of my second year at Crossfit I would like to get a handstand push up. I’m so close!
